Mr. Powers heads underserved markets fund-of-funds at Bank of America, a leading investor in private equity funds focused on companies owned, managed, or targeted to women, ethnic minorities and low and moderate income individuals and geographies. He joined Bank of America Community Development Banking in 1994. Mr. Powers is a founding member of the Small Business Investment Alliance and serves on the boards of Bank of America’s Community Development Corporation and the Chicagoland Redevelopment Institute. Mr. Powers was named one of Crain’s Chicago Business Top 40 Business Leaders under 40.

He holds a BA in English and BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA and MA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
