Richard L. Perkal is a Senior Managing Director of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and a Partner of Bear Stearns Merchant Banking. His areas of interest include the Retail and Security & Defense industries. Prior to joining Bear Stearns, Mr. Perkal headed the corporate practice in Washington, D.C. of Kirkland & Ellis, where he served on the finance and operations committees. Mr. Perkal is currently a director of CamelBak Group, LLC; Cartoon Cuts, L.P.; Healthy Back Store; Millenium Laser Holdings, LLC; and Vitamin Shoppe Holdings.

Mr. Perkal holds a JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was an Editor of the Law Review, and a BA from Alfred University.
