Panelist Biographies

Martin C. Eltrich, III
Managing Director
AEA Investors

Martin is co-head of AEA’s consumer products investment practice. He currently serves on the boards of Marbo and Sutton Place Gourmet, and also serves as an alternate director on the Li & Fung (Distribution) Ltd. board. Most recently, Martin led the acquisition of Burt’s Bees.

Prior to joining AEA, Martin was an investment banker at Greenhill & Co. in New York. While at Greenhill, Martin closed in excess of a dozen M&A transactions with over $40 billion of transaction value. Notable transactions included: General Mills’ acquisition of Pillsbury, Nestle’s acquisition of Ralston Purina and Compaq Computer’s acquisition of Digital Equipment.

Prior to joining Greenhill, Martin was a member of the Consumer Products Group at Morgan Stanley & Co. While at Morgan Stanley, he worked on several notable transactions including: KKR’s acquisition of Borden, Inc., Grand Metropolitan’s acquisition of Pet, Inc. and the sale of Keebler Foods by United Biscuits.

Martin is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School. He resides with his wife and two children in Chappaqua, New York.
