Michael J. Connelly is a Managing Director focused on U.S. buyout transactions in the telecommunications and media sectors. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Connelly spent more than 25 years in the investment banking and banking industries in the communications sectors. Most recently he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First Boston and, since 1992, a Managing Director at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in the Media and Telecommunications Group. Before DLJ, he was in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at The First Boston Corporation. He began his career at The Bank of Boston where he focused on media credits and financial restructurings.

Mr. Connelly received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University.
