Fred Wilson formed Flatiron Partners along with Jerry Colonna in the summer of 1996. Prior to forming Flatiron Partners, Fred was a General Partner with Euclid Partners, a New York-based early stage venture capital firm for 10 years.

Fred has been a venture capitalist since 1986. In those 15 years, he has been involved in the financing and development of over fifty early stage high technology companies. He currently serves on the boards of ITXC, StarMedia, TheStreet.com, and a number of privately held companies including Alacra, Bigfoot Interactive, Comscore, iBiquity Digital and Return Path.

Fred has an SB from MIT and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and their three children.
