Marcus Thompson

Mr Thompson has been Chief Investment Officer of HSBC Private Equity (Asia) Limited since April 2000 and a director of the firm since 1993. Prior to joining HSBC, Mr Thompson worked in London for PPM Ventures Limited, a leading UK buyout firm and for The Swire Group, a privately owned aviation and property conglomerate, in Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia. Mr Thompson has more than 13 years experience of making private equity investments in a diverse range of countries and industry sectors. Mr Thompson received an MA degree in Law from Cambridge University, England and is a member of the Bar of England and Wales. Mr Thompson is also a member of the Wharton Society of Fellows.
