Mr. Letendre is a Vice President of JPMorgan Chase Bank, where he specializes in community development finance.
During the past ten years, he has functioned in various lending capacities, focusing on commercial real estate, multifamily housing, and small businesses in low-and moderate-income communities. He has managed the product development team of the bank's affordable mortgage business as well as the research, analysis and reporting function of the Community Reinvestment Act compliance unit.
In his current capacity, Mr. Letendre manages the bank's lending and investing activities with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), providing investment capital, liquidity and technical assistance to these community-based financial intermediaries that expand access to capital for businesses and projects located in low-income communities. From its inception three years ago, this team has provided to over $100 million in capital to dozens of lending consortia and community development venture capital funds.
Before joining Chase's Community Development Corporation, Mr. Letendre served as an account officer and team leader in Chase's Financial Institutions Group, which provides lending and advisory services to banks, thrifts and credit unions.
Prior to his career with Chase, Mr. Letendre was a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton in their Financial Institutions Practice and a research analyst with Paine Webber, focusing on financial institutions in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Mr. Letendre received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from Manhattan College.
